ANNUALLY NOVEMBER 5, National Medical Cannabis Day™ is a national awareness-holiday to commemorate the first date of U.S.-legalized medical cannabis in 1996 with a dispensation framework,  raise funds to help patients defray the costs of physician-recommended medical cannabis treatment, and sustain awareness of medical cannabis benefits in various childhood and adult physiological and

psychological conditions

FACT:

"Louisiana is the first state in the deep south to authorize a medical cannabis program via HB 149 in 2015, and the first state in the deep south to actually dispense medical cannabis to eligible patients in need with physician recommendation in August 2019"
